较早挂两条杠肩章的飞行员多是空中机械师，但空中机械师现升为三条杠。佩戴两条杠肩章的人员多为FE飞航工程师、空中领航员和报务员等工作人员。一般来说飞行员二杠肩章还有单飞过的、商照的含义。
